For the first 7 days, add the recommended portion to food twice a day, morning and evening.
Thereafter, add the recommended portion to food once a day.

Sprinkle one sachet over your pet's food once a day until desired results are achieved. For maintenance, continue with two sachets per week.

For maximum effectiveness, be sure to mix the contents of the pouch thoroughly with your pet's full daily food portion. If your pet eats 2 meals a day, divide the pouch between the 2 meals for maximum results.

FAQ

My dog/cat has tartar. Will buco+ remove existing tartar?

buco+ prevents tartar buildup, but also helps eliminate existing tartar. We recommend giving buco+ for 56 consecutive days upon first use (1 sachet per day for 56 days) to reduce existing tartar. If tartar is very advanced, it may be necessary to give buco+ for more than 56 consecutive days. It is possible to give buco+ every day until the tartar disappears completely without danger. The number of days needed to reduce and eliminate existing tartar depends on each animal.

Does buco+ cause stomach problems?

All our products are designed with your pet's overall well-being in mind. None of the ingredients used in buco+ can cause digestive problems. The only protein used in buco+ is egg yolk, which is highly digestible. Most pets with egg allergies or intolerances react to egg white.

My pet is young and has no dental problems, can I give buco+ as a preventative measure?

Absolutely! Prevention is always ideal. It's not necessary to give buco+ for 56 consecutive days when used for prevention. Simply start as a maintenance treatment, i.e., twice a week.

Can buco+ be added to raw or wet food?

Yes! buco+ can be added to raw or wet food without any problem. To ensure the product's effectiveness, be sure to mix the powder thoroughly with a fork into your pet's meal to avoid having only powder on top.

Can I brush my pet's teeth in addition to using buco+?

Absolutely! Brushing your pet's teeth is a great habit, and we don't recommend stopping if you're already doing it. If you do brush your pet's teeth, make sure to do so 30 to 60 minutes after giving the buco+ to allow it to work in your pet's mouth.

My pet doesn't crunch its food, will buco+ still be effective?

buco+ doesn't work mechanically, but rather through contact with saliva and gums. Unless your pet eats their entire meal in one bite, buco+ should still be effective. With every bite your pet takes, buco+ comes into contact with saliva and gums, and a small amount remains in the mouth.

I have a very small dog/cat (3 to 6 lbs) do I still have to give the full bag of buco+?

Yes! Even if your dog is very small, he needs 1g (1 sachet) per day. It's absolutely safe! If a full sachet adds too much powder compared to the food portion, it is possible to give ¾ of the sachet per day.

My pet is picky, will he eat even with buco+ added to his food?

buco+ contains no added flavors so as not to affect food intake. Most pets don't notice a difference (and others love the taste!). If your pet is picky, we recommend starting gradually by adding only ¼ of the sachet and making sure to mix well with the food. If the pet accepts buco+ in small amounts, you can then gradually increase the dose to a full sachet.

If your pet really doesn't want to eat its food with buco+, you can give it on a spoon with wet food, either plain yogurt, unsweetened applesauce or pumpkin puree.

My pet doesn’t have any digestive problems, can I give them probio+ as a preventative measure?

Absolutely! Probiotics have several beneficial effects on the overall health of animals, such as: strengthening their immune system, reducing the presence of bad bacteria in the intestinal flora, regulating stools and flatulence, maximizing nutrient absorption and the benefits of food. As a preventative measure, serve the recommended portion of probio+ 3 times a week.

My pet has allergies, can they take probio+?

Yes! Our probiotics do not contain any protein, preservatives, or fillers. Probio+ contains only prebiotic fiber and bacteria (probiotics).

My pet is picky, will they still eat their food when probio+ is added to it?

Most pets love the taste of probiotics! The bacteria give off odors that are familiar to pets.

Can I use off-the-shelf human probiotics for my pet?

There's no danger in doing this, but the effectiveness is low. These bacteria aren't suitable for animal use, and the results are nonexistent or short-lived. Cats and dogs have high acidity in their stomachs, so many prebiotics/probiotics will be destroyed.

Can I administer too many prebiotics and probiotics to my pet?

No, because they are viable microbials (100% natural and cannot have negative effects).

Is yogurt an effective probiotic for my cat or dog?

The bacteria present are adapted to grow in dairy products, not in an animal's gut. To achieve the most effective results with probiotics, products containing species-specific bacteria should be used (all of our bacteria strains are animal-specific). Additionally, dogs and cats are frequently lactose intolerant because they lack many of the enzyme called lactase, which is necessary for digesting lactose (yogurt = dairy = lactose).
